paperphage is a handmade lamp that combines minimalist aesthetics with futuristic design, inspired by the shape of a bacteriophage.
the floating lampshade, constructed entirely from white paper, creates striking shadow patterns when lit, thanks to its
precisely arranged glue tabs.
its 3d-printed base provides stability while enhancing the modern, floating, geometric look. this unique interplay of light,
shadow, and form makes paperphage both functional and sculptural.
the paperphage lamp, created as part of our first-semester project "light-up", was exhibited at the peek & cloppenburg fashion conscious store in berlin the playce during the future generation exhibition in march and april 2024. this showcase featured a curated selection of sustainable semester projects from amd students, spanning fashion and design. the lamp stood out for its innovative approach to combining aesthetics and sustainability. the exhibition highlighted the creative potential of the next generation in shaping a more conscious future.
